Greater Besançon. Pollution alert at the Arcier spring: "The population has nothing to worry about for its health."

Each municipality in Greater Besançon received an email last week (April 28) from the water and sanitation department responsible for the quality of drinking water resources supplying the city and its surrounding area. The Arcier spring was cut off because abnormal pollution was detected there. The Chenecey-Buillon and Novillars springs have taken over.
A peak in turbidity, meaning water that was not very clear, was detected by monitoring agents from the water and sanitation department of Grand Besançon Métropole (GBM) at the Arcier resource during the night of Saturday 26 to Sunday 27 April.
